I use frozen bananas, blueberries, strawberries and greens. * Using frozen ingredients has two benefits. One, it's easier than keeping fresh food around before it spoils. Two, the fozen fruit makes the smoothie cold without adding ice. * If all ingredients are fresh I would freeze the juices into cubes so that the smoothie is cold. * Always use quality fruit juices without added sugar, like the Lakewood juices. * Before freezing, I cut strawberries in half at an angle to leave the green leaves in place. The leaves are edible and have nutrients, so I put them in the smoothie. =====Process===== - Add about 8-10 ounces of juice to pitcher first. - Add about 1-1/2 cups of blueberries. - Add a couple handfuls of greens. - Add strawberries. - Add bananas. - Add lemon juice and chia seeds. - Blend. berry_smoothie.txt Last modified: 2015/04/25 02:35by mmuze
